Our Team - Vets
Pat Daly, (MVB, MRCVS)
Pat qualified from the University of Dublin in 1987. Pat joined Swanspool straight after qualifying with a view to returning to Ireland after 2 years! (enought time he thought to save up for a car and repay his student loan). He soon realised what a great job he had and has been a partner in the practice since 1995.A combination of a busy job and a young family means that his scuba diving, travelling and salmon fishing have had to take a back seat for now.
Oliver Sheldon, (BVSc, MRCVS)
Oliver qualified from the University of Bristol in 1997. Oliver's special veterinary interests include equine medicine and also equine dentistry. He has been at Swanspool since qualifying and became a partner in 2009.
Sarah Smyth, (BVetMed, MRCVS)
Sarah qualified from the Royal Vet College in 2009. Sarah's parents are Bedfordshire farmers. Sarah has always been interested in horses and prior to her going to Vet School she competed and worked in racing. After graduating Sarah went straight into an equine and farm practice in Norfolk and joined Swanspool in August 2011. Clinically, her main interests are poor performance - in particular respiratory and lameness work, and she is looking forward to learning more about stud medicine work at Swanspool.
Tom Bozek, (MRCVS)
Tom qualified 2012 from the University of Bristol. Tom comes from Bedfordshire, and has a keen interest in motorbikes, and loves travelling.
Katherine Baxter, (MRCVS)
Katherine will be joining the equine team in October of this year. Katherine is 2 years qualified and from Cambridgeshire.
Harriet Woolley, (BVetMed MRCVS)
Harriet qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011. After graduation she completed an internship where she developed an interest in equine internal medicine and lameness. She then worked in Australia for three months during the breeding season, gaining experience in stud work and foal medicine. She has her own horse, and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first foal in May. Outside of work, she enjoys running and playing polo.
